I love the farm life, but because I'm not very hip on killing things that I've raised it limits what type of animals I have living on my farm.  Don't get me wrong, I'm not a tree-hugger, I love steak, I just prefer to eat the one you raised.  So, for awhile it was just horses and a few chickens.  I put in a large natural goldfish pond, but there still seemed to be something missing, and whatever animal I chose next had to be something that could make a little money, or atleast pay its own way(that's the joke of the century, right?).  Anyway, to make a long story short, I had always been interested in homing pigeons and when I ran into "white dove releases" on the internet one night, I found my missing link.  The birds are easy to care for, they basically take care of themselves, and the white birds are beautiful flying around and flocking to the goldfish pond for a bath or a drink.  It's picture perfect!  At this time we only have a breeding flock.  We should have a flying flock to offer for white dove releases in 2011.  We do have birds that we offer for white dove displays for funerals and weddings, which basically is a white dove in a pretty birdcage, decorated however the customer wants, it makes a very meaningful memorable impression.  The difference in the release birds and display birds is this, the birds used for the releases are white homing pigeons, they beat me back home after they are released, due to their natural homing instinct, and the birds used for the displays are white doves, which are more docile and quiet natured, perfect for quiet occassions such as funerals and weddings.  We will be posting more information, such as pricing and contracts soon, as we are just now getting our website back up and running and we're busy on the puppy page, we have 9 puppies we need to find homes for!
Thanks, and please check back soon!
